The SCG AGM was held recently at the Striling County Cricket Club. The existing committee members were all re-elected and three new members are joining us this year: Marjorie Christie, Brian Ferguson and Mike Gellatly. The Committee will agree its office bearers in July.
Apart from noting the usual business from the previously circulated reports, it was agreed to consider hosting a ceilidh for the curling community this season; to ask a local museum if they are interested in housing some of our impressive, but no longer used trophies; to have photos of the current season winners in the trophy cabinet; to remain as custodians of the British Open, but look at putting it on at different venues around the country; to consider ways of using any surplus funds in a fair and equitable manner.
The evening ended with the presentation by Hammy McMillan of trophies and prizes to all our competitions winners. Janet Simpson, Chair.
