The Peak Scoreboard

 The group pursues the interests of all people curling at The Peak Ice Rink, Stirling, Scotland.


  •   To be a collective voice for all clubs and groups using The Peak Ice Rink
  •   To support the Development Officer to develop curling
  •   To manage The Peak Competitions and Leagues
  •   To liaise with Active Stirling on behalf of all curlers and to manage the relationship between Active Stirling and all curlers.

Membership is open to all clubs and groups  involved with the sport of curling at The Peak Ice Rink.

NCA Curling

The Peak Ice Rink has a main arena with six sheets available for general curling. In a separate annex is the Scottish Curling Nation Curling Academy with four sheets of ice. This facility is first and foremost a training facility and is fitted out with all the equipment necessary for British and Scottish teams to prepare for Olympic and World Championships. Clubs and individual curlers can be allocated any spare ice that is not being used by these elite players.

STIRLING CURLING GROUP – Events & Competitions

We aim to provide all players of member clubs who must also be RCCC members, the opportunity to experience all the forms of curling presently available to play across a broad spectrum of abilities. These range from fun events such as the Christmas Bonspiel to the top performance competitions against all comers such as the British Open. Look at the range of events and competitions below to decide which ones you would like to enter. Use the Competitions menu to open up the required entry forms and follow the instructions. Check the closing date for applications before submitting, they vary throughout the season.

SCG Peak Leagues Division 1 & 2
Due to number of entries restricted to two divisions this year. Will be reviewed for next year.
Division 1 - 13 teams, Division 2 – 14 teams.
Played on Tuesdays throughout season, on all 10 sheets (Peak 8.45pm & NCA 9.00pm) to
reduce clashes with club & other event games.

Doune Rosebowl – This is the SCG Opening Bonspiel - open to all member clubs.
Afternoon £40 (inc coffee etc after game) and evening £60 (light buffet after game)

SCG Xmas Bonspiel – Open to all members of clubs. £40 entry (£32 if all team under 18).
Various prize categories. Followed by coffee/tea etc.

Beattie Open Points – Open to all individual curlers. Some clubs using as their club’s points competition

SCG Pairs – Open to all members of member clubs.
Restricted to first eight pairs entered.

Hogmannay Hack – Open to members, – first eight teams entered.

SCG Knockout – Open to all members as individuals.
Individual entry indicating preferred playing position; teams then drawn for competition.

SCG Doubles – new event – Sunday league through season
New event, with introductory/training sessions at start of season.
Followed by league throughout season. Entry as pairs (not gender specific) or as individuals
who will be drawn into pairs at start of event.

Afternoon Mixed League – Tuesday afternoons throughout season
Individual entry, with players drawn into team pools. Pay per game played on day.

Evening Mixed League
Confirmed no competition this year. Agreed should run next year, but change format to individual
entry, with teams drawn.

Rink Championship Qualifiers – Entry made via Scottish Curling (as it is their competition open to all ice rinks, more details here).This is open to any team of players
from the Peak rink.

British Open – April 2020. This is the 75th Anniversary year for The Open.
Looking for entries from local teams as well as external entries.
