75th Anniversary British Open Championship Postponed

No matches @ The Peak, Stirling Friday 27th to Sunday 29th March 2020

In view of the current COVID-19 pandemic Stirling Curling Group in partnership with Active Stirling have, with great regret and much disappointment, taken the decision to postpone the 2020 British Open Curling Championship 75th Anniversary event.
We are truly sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you and your teams but the safety and the well-being of our curlers, volunteers and Active Stirling employees has to be our main priority.
We have been closely following the guidelines of both the UK and Scottish Governments to minimise the risk to our curlers but acting on the latest Scottish Government advice on the spread and containment of the virus along with the rapidly expanding travel restrictions/bans being applied by many countries and finally the cancellation of the LGT World Men's Championships, we have taken the only decision available to us.
The British Open Organising Committee are currently looking in to the possibility of rescheduling the event until later in the year as this would still fall within the 75th anniversary year of the commencement of the competition.
The Organising Committee will be giving an update as soon as they have concluded their deliberations. Once again we regret having to make this decision but we are in unprecedented times!
Thanks again for all your support.
British Open Committee.
